The Surrey Hills, area of outstanding natural beauty, is rich in stately wedding venues and one of my favourite country house wedding venues in Surrey is Burrows Lea Country House in Shere. Shere is a gorgeous, historic village in the heart of Surrey and Burrows Lea Country House is set right at the end of a wooded lane at the outskirts of the village.

Burrows Lea Country House is a beautiful manor house dating back from 1873 and is set in 30 acres of picturesque gardens and woodland. It is surrounded by beautiful grounds and has an outstanding scenery which offers unparalleled views of Surrey: the perfect countryside backdrop for your English country house wedding and of course your bride & groom portraits and family formals. You can celebrate both your wedding ceremony and reception here, so no need to move around

You can have all your wedding celebrations at Burrows Lea with the option of having your wedding ceremony in the charming wood panelled chapel, which can be decorated according to personal taste. After the blessings you can make a grand entrance unto the lawn and into the rose garden whilst going through a confetti shower, kindly provided for by your guests ;-). Enjoy wedding drinks and canapé’s in the rose garden with your guests before taking a short walk around the premises and the nearby woodlands for some bride & groom portraits.
