St. Peter’s Church and Gildings Barns documentary wedding photographer Horsham, West Sussex

Louise & Stuart’s barn wedding was held in my favourite – and best barn wedding venue Surrey – Gildings Barns in Newdigate. It’s a lovely rustic venue in Newdigate in the Surrey Hills, but before the festivities kicked off the couple received their blessings at St. Peter’s church, also in Newdigate.

They both wanted natural and authentic images that would tell the story of their day, as a documentary wedding photographer Horsham, West Sussex, and one of Gildings Barns preferred suppliers, I was very much looking forward to providing them with exactly that. Of course there is always room for family formals and couple portraits, but I try to give these an authentic and unposed look & feel so they blend in seamlessly with the rest of the story of the day.

The cherry on the cake was that they were both up for a posed portrait in Gildings Barns’ courtyard where we used some off-camera flash and coloured gels to create a Christmas atmosphere. Dear Louise & Stuart, it was a pleasure to be a small part of your day, thank you for being such a wonderful couple!

 

The couple’s gorgeous flower arrangements were done by Hedgerose & Honeysuckle in Dorking.
