STYLE & APPROACH

The images of your wedding day should – in my view – capture the emotions and events as the day unfolds. My style is therefore best described as documentary story-telling, with very little direction from my side whilst I capture moments (and the moments in between the moments) in an unobtrusive way, providing you with natural wedding photography and authentic images to cherish for a lifetime.

Where required, e.g. during the portrait session of the two of you or the family formals, I will of course guide you and give you some direction. Simply because no one gets up in the morning and is ‘UK’s Next Top Model’ ;-). It is my job to make you feel comfortable, so also the ‘posed’ moments will have the candid look & feel that characterises my work.

To ease any possible pre-wedding jitters you can choose to book a pre-wedding shoot(a.k.a. love shoot, couple shoot or engagement session). During the shoot we’ll be hanging out and having some fun together whilst making gorgeous pictures of the two of you. This way you will have had a chance to practice before the big day and gotten an idea on how I work, which can make things easier on your wedding day. Besides, it’s just nice to see each other again before the wedding day!

During your wedding day I will work with full dedication to create the story of your day. To make that even more complete I very often work with a second shooter: two different angles to capture your day, generating images that complement each other perfectly.

In short: authentic and natural documentary wedding photography, captured with a nice balance between reportage-style and posed images by an enthusiastic and travel-happy Surrey wedding photographer.
